Our origin story.

Matt Wilcox, FifthDomain founder and CEO, began his career in a Securities Operations Centre within the Australian Signals Directorate. Matt joined a ‘Big 4’ consultancy where he led the development of cyber security technology and services, servicing the senior echelons across Australia’s intelligence community.

In 2014, Matt was approached to lecture in Cyber Security for the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) at UNSW. Matt would establish and deliver core units for their Masters of Cyber Security program. It was during this time he felt the pain first hand of setting up the learning environments for delivering hands-on cybersecurity training.

These experiences led to Matt starting FifthDomain in 2015. Today, Matt and the 30+ strong team are translating their cybersecurity operator experience to helping organisations like yours to make the most of its cyber workforce across the employee lifecycle.
